Rode NTH-100 - Mini Review
I picked up a new pair of these 'for parts', sold as seen, broken hinges. I had the parts to redo the hinges, all good, they sound superb. See first photo, an M5 screw. 2 washers and a holed spacer block. (Thanks Andii on previous page, for the inspiration). But ....one of the earcup swivel...- AndyBrechin

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7b Impressions & Discussion Thread
If you are gentle you can peel off the peeling leather as I did, the inner foam still has a fabric cover so you can very gently rub off all the dry, flakey leather and you can end up with a real nice very dark grey fabric finish.- AndyBrechin

Comment by 'AndyBrechin' in item 'TEAC UD-505 Desktop Dual monaural USB DAC/headphone amplifier'
Has anyone used a UD-505 with the Teac CG-10M external clock. I was thinking about adding one to mine but don't want to have to also replace my CD Player and Streamer with matching Teac gear, or at least get new source gear with external clock input. Would I at least see some benefit adding it...- AndyBrechin

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
Just be careful you are not being played. Usually if something is too good to be true it is because it is. I've been there, as will many others on this thread no doubt. Great headphones but Buyer Beware, do your due diligence on the seller before you part with your money. £100 is a steal.- AndyBrechin

Closed headphones in HD700 price range?
I also have HD700s, really like them, but like you sometimes fancy trying some closed backs. I had thought about the Austrian Audio Hi-x55 - they are approx. £250 ($350), not what you paid for your HD700s but maybe what they could be got for now second hand, if you shop around. Anyone got...- AndyBrechin

Official Unofficial 8XX Discussion Thread - UPDATE SENNHEISER HAS BEEN SOLD!!! GT(heck)IH
Apologies in advance, I know some folks here will know this, but If you're UK based does it simply become uneconomical to buy from Drop (US), ship to the UK and pay Import Duty (?), handling/processing fee and 20% VAT. Maybe I've answered my own question. If it is an HD8xx, at what price point...- AndyBrechin

Marantz HD-Dac1 Display Blank
I've done that now thanks. The unit is second/third hand and otherwise works fine so I wouldn't ship away for repair. I can live with it if I have to but would be hopeful that a factory reset might sort it.- AndyBrechin

Marantz HD-Dac1 Display Blank
I have an HD-Dac1 which I think is excellent, but the display has stopped working, it is blank. Sure, I occasionally used to toggle through the Dimmer settings but now it is blank and stays blank. I would say the remote still works as it operates the other functions OK and acts as if it is...- AndyBrechin

Marantz HD-DAC1
This is probably a stupid question, but are/were all the HD-Dac1 models made in the Far East, or were some made in Europe? Also, were two voltage variants made (in addition to the black/silver finishes), i.e. Approx. 240 (230-250) V, and 110 (100-120) V? Stupid question maybe. If I sold a Euro...- AndyBrechin

Marantz HD-DAC1
Is there anyone in this thread in the UK who has loved and cared for their Marantz HD-Dac1 over the years but who is now looking to upgrade, or has upgraded and has one lying around surplus. As the thread said still a good buy second hand at low cost as the tech has moved on and that's where I...- AndyBrechin

Shanling UA1 & UA2 - New line of portable DAC/AMP adapters
USB C, Lightning, presume USB Micro B also an option for other android devices. I wonder if it gets over/around android resolution cap which sometimes gets in the way, for example when playing Amazon Music HD.- AndyBrechin

New Sony PHA-2A portable DAC
I'm selling mine if anyone's interested. I do most of my listening through a streamer now rather than through Android Phone / SD Card / USB. It sounds fantastic though and is in mint condition: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274443134670- AndyBrechin
