I bought the headphone when it came out. It has seen only moderate usage. It sounds clear but lacks in dynamics. It's in excellent condition overall. I can ship to mainland Europe using DPD. I'll cover the shipping fees.

I'm selling my Astell & Kern A&Future SE200. It's in mint condition. Purchased from Amazon.de (Columbus24.com). I haven't used it much. Even though the size is similar to an iPhone, the DAP is heavy and with sharpish edges, so it's not very comfortable for everyday use on the move. I ended up...

Very smooth transaction and excellent communication. It's a pleasure dealing with Siruspan.

The headphones got sold to the 2nd person who got in touch yesterday. I apologize to all of you who messaged me after that and I didn't respond to your PMs. I got A LOT of messages and it's going to take some serious effort to respond to all of them individually.

Pretty lightly used. I never really warmed up to these headphones. No visible scratches or signs of wear. I've replaced the original female connectors with 3.5mm ones, so that I could easily use the headphones with my own cables. No other modifications have been made. I don't keep the original...

    Sennheiser HD650 Crazy Mods :)

WORD OF CAUTION - If you attempt to do the mods I've described below, there's a very good chance you will break your driver. Even if you don't, there's a potential risk of driver failure over time, as the coil gap will be exposed to the external environment... you know, dust and stuff in the...

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Thanks. Glass bottom too :) Yes, we frequently get together with some audiophile friends to listen to music and drink beer. Real pleasant times.

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Thanks, Jeb. If I remember correctly, you were with the fireflies, so my bet would be you'd like the 3's and the X's more than the HD800. Again, YMMV, as you know :)   The presentation of a really good speaker system is on a completely different level. I really feel the headphones are the...

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Hi guys (Jeb, this post is for you :)   I've been quiet for a week now, but I wasn't sitting idle. Since I received the LCD-3 last Friday I've been comparing headphones and fiddling with my system. I've got new output transformers to accommodate the LCD-3F, which have better extreme treble and...

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Hi Jeb,   In order to make a by-the-book comparison between LCD-X, LCD-3F and HD800, I first need transformers with 110ohm taps. Hopefully these will be ready tomorrow and the LCD-3F are due to arrive on Friday. Though the other two headphones are already listed in the commercial section, I...

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Well, after having a chance to properly compare LCD-3F with my headphones, the LCD-3F is definitely my end game for the foreseeable future. Delivery due on Friday :) Everything else I've got goes on sale, time to recover some funds :)

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

When you crank up the volume you're enjoying more distortion. HiFiChris makes a good point in the previous post. I always look for headphones which sound balanced at low to moderate volume levels.

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Hey Jeb, I'm glad my feedback was useful to you. My plates with the tube sockets are made of brass, another material that I love, and it goes along with wood very nicely!   In my view LCD-X is better than LCD-2F in every way, so I'd encourage you to buy it, if your wallet would allow you...

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Hmm, there's merit to what you say. I don't have experience with high end in-ear monitors, but considering their ultra-light diaphragms , their accuracy must be better than the over the ear headphones. From my experience with speaker drivers the smaller the driver the fewer the up & down...

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Yes, I'd say it depends on what you want. IMO HD800 is better for dynamic recordings. Especially for classical music it sounds less constrained. I would suggest the perception of fast low end is due to the HD800 having better dynamics.

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Hi Jeb,   Thanks. I appreciate your kind words. I'm glad you like my system, I have invested some serious amount of time and money into it. I've only used oak wood, as I love it. The casings are all different but with oak wood front panels that I've made. The Etheraudio dac is in its...

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

That's exactly how I should have put it. LCD-X is more pleasing to my ears too. HD800 has a huge and very entertaining soundstage, but to my ears LCD-X has audibly less distortion, particularly obvious in the high frequencies, hence the deeper imaging. IMHO HD800 creates the impression of...

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Call me mad, but I don't think HD800 projects instruments correctly into space. It's nothing like how my speakers project everything like a holograph into space. I don't think any headphone can do that. HD800 create something like an artificial/virtual scene around the head, which is very...

HD800 vs LCD-X - Plain and simple comparison

Hi there,   After a few months with these headphones I've decided to throw in here a brief comparison (don't want to bore anyone with endless blabber), as i think it may help people who are wondering which one to choose, but can't audition both at the same time and with the appropriate gear...

Beta testing the new Audeze Black-Box.

I so much want to be a beta tester, since I want to compare it against my own DIY tube and chip amps, hooked to my LCD 2 & X, but I live in Bulgaria, EU. The shipping cost will not make sense :)
