All those mods aside has anyone tired the easiest mod which is not using any filter at all? Don’t tell me that it’s same as the white filter because it’s not. Though there is no foam in the white filter, the filter narrows the nozzle diameter and it affects the sound. To test it put a white...- sha007

Thank you for time and effort to explaining the process in detail. I tried the EQ and its helping to tame the harshness for sure. Just I need to make it a little more smooth. I think I can manage from here. Thanks again :) Edit : A small token of appreciation for your help :)- sha007

Thank you so much for your suggestion! I'll definitely try the EQ. But the software came with the soundcard only allows to EQ 1khz, 2khz, 4khz, 8khz and 16khz. Can you suggest a good EQ software?- sha007

I logged both players audio path and found that poweramp and netron does use android re-sampling. Only UAPP bypass the android SOC and uses the dedicated dac's like the default music player.- sha007

Thanks for the information but I have found a solution. After not getting any reply here, I went to the medical store and bought a hand rub solution and wiped the ear pads. It worked like a magic! Never mind, I was not pushing the connectors hard enough before. Before, I stopped pushing when I heard a "click" sound. But It's suppose to be 2 "click" sound (last one when rotating the connector a bit while pushing). Shure manual sucks. Anyways thanks for the reply.- sha007

Is it possible to damage the SE846 by using cheap cable (sorry I'm very new to the audiophile world)? The price of the Brainwavz Candy Cane cable seems reasonable to me.
