Yea these are the only pair of headphones I have, as a backup and what I use at work is Klipsch S4i ear buds... they are ok, but not for a long term use. Either way I have exactly 1 year left as of today on my 2 year warranty, I'll probably just send them and get them fixed. I'll update this...

Update in case someone else has a similar issue in the future.   I bought the Fiio E10k, it completely eliminated the EMI noises that I can hear at least and my headphones sound better too.   Thanks for the help everyone.

My brother has wireless headphones, which can also be connected via usb, I'll try his, and see if I get any EMI noises through the USB port.

suburbanite, thanks for the detailed response. I do have an ipod touch 4, which sounds pretty good for music with my v-moda headphones, no problems there. As of now I plug my headphones to my logitech speakers, which seems to give it more juice to my headphones, but I still get the EMI noises...
