ZX500‘s sound adjustment is now a standalone app, and in DSD setting in the walkman player app have no native option now, the sound adjustment app has a Direct selector for playing directly from all source without any DSP. So they had the magic tricks now.

Seems sony had enhanced the sound enhancement application in ZX500, as it can apply to all apps running in ZX500 and effective to both wired phone jacks. And sony is pure digital source to digital amp signal processing, maybe that’s why they can do it.

Sure the effect varies on different IEM and user preferences, it may just be a reference point to start your own tweaks.

ZX500 is the series name, it has 2 models ZX505 and ZX507, just different in internal storage size.

I think the demo ear buds are not yet run in to give their best on the show floor, its quite common for dynamic drive sounds bassy at initial stage, the sound may tame and smooth after a period of usage time, so I think real judgement should be done after they have real mass product for tryout...
