    Sony MDR-A20 - opinions, other MDR-A series?

Hey, good to see you here as well :) I wonder what might be the difference between the A50 and the W70. So the A50 is better than the E888? Those are really different guys for sure. I don't own the E464, and never heard it, but I heard the E575 and own the E565, which I love very much. So it...

    Sony MDR-CD2000?

Yeah, we agree on that. And the fact that the articles used to put the CD6 next to the Senn HD600 back in the day...I smell salesforce behind that :) It's rather the M66 is a smaller Senn HD 6** series set imho, but I'll have to be sure as I listened to the Senn HD600 a long time ago.

    Sony MDR-CD2000?

Cool! Although the M77 is not a big deal - of course according to my experiences. The CD6 - well, I bought one a few years back, and I was so stoked to finally hear the legend - but tbh, it didn't hold a light next to the MDR-62. Maybe if you have a really nice, high output hifi at home, but the...

    Sony MDR-CD2000?

Great! The 51 and athe 62 are absolutely awesome headphones. The 62 has more lows for sure compared to the 51. If the CD2000 is a resemblence to a bigger H•AIR type set, that's fine with me, although there are even greater pieces from there - like the Sony MDR-M66. The M66 sounds so great it is...

More Sonys please! Soon I'll show 2 Aiwas according to plan. X10s. One had a defective driver, but it is fixed now by a good friend of mine. Until then, one of Sony's best vintage headphone (if not the best), the MDR-M66. I'd love to get an MDR-M88 in pristine condition, but I'd doubt it has a...

Hi All, sorry for the unusual post, didn't find anything on the net about actual quality (and haven't received an answer to my thread), so I ask here: Victor earphones, especially the HP-L15? Any experiences, quality wise? There's one on Yahoo Japan. Sure looks amazing and I own a few amazing...

    Vintage Victor earphones? /HP-L15

Hi All Are you familiar with vintage Victor/JVC earphones, especially the HP-L15? There's one on Yahoo Japan right now, quite expensive, and I have no reference whether it is any good/bad/etc. Vintage Victor owners, or anyone else who knows their on ear/earbud lines are welcome. Pic: Cheers :)...

Picking up a pair of vintage Sony MDR-CD6's, can anyone give me some info/advice?

I always wonder if/how the original pads altered the sound THAT much with these older Sonys (Hair, Hair Hifi series) that they sound so good. I have a Sony MDR-M66 with OG pads and the M66 sounds that good that it blows away many recent headphones. If someone would start to recreate these kinds...

    Earbuds Round-Up

Attention, vintage Sony Dudes: Sony MDR-E262 vs E272, pro/contra reasons? I am eager to hear some opinions. I know the 262 quite much, and I am interested in how the 272 compares. Cheers :)

WOW! Seems like you have an M88 and an M44 in working order. Even with functioning earpads? How do you like them? Compared to each other and to the Z6 on the right? I have a pristine M66 which is absolutely out of this world, it easily destroys almost any modern lightweight portables. I might...

    '80s Sony/Aiwa diy custom foams

Hi All, Not sure if this is the right place as it concerns rather on ears, not over ears, but my question is if there's anyone of you or someone you know of, who creates foams for '80s Sony and Aiwa TOTL headphones (MDR-M55, MDR-M66, Aiwa HP-X10). As these are very specific things and they...

    Earbuds Round-Up

Actually I was thinking about writing him to mod my otherwise perfect but driver-less MDR-E484s. We talked once, he was so nice and kind, so when I'll have more money, I plan to ask him for the honor :)
