If you only have to peel off a small section and place it, then slowly peel back the while pressing it down. You shouldn’t have to touch your fingers to the adhesive. The other side will have the same. It may be easier to place it into the driver first then place the pads on afterwards as the...- Reckless95

The gauge of wire will be enough to carry the current. Do you see any manufactures for amps or headphones saying they use 'special cables'.- Reckless95

Maybe give True-Fi a try, I believe they have a free trial. It boosts the mids/treble nicely to me. Doesn’t hurt to try- Reckless95

Your output gain can be controlled by windows volume and same goes with ref.4. This is basic practice when calibrating speakers/headphones. The question becomes what your headphones/speakers can handle and when your system starts to clip. Just because you lower the output doesn’t mean the...- Reckless95

Audeze LCD-X
Well while the X on paper sounds very effecient , with high sensitivity and low impedance. It still takes quite a bit of juice. However why does it have to be easy to drive vs more power?- Reckless95

If your driver fails under warranty why would you be paying? That’s the price for out of warranty. Driver replacements will be dependent on each headphone.- Reckless95

Yes. I thought it would need less power personally based of specs, however they recommend 1-4W even though the sensitivity is high and impedance is low. Pretty glad I went with the Lyr 3, really shines with power. Without True-Fi ( assuming it’s similiar to the reference series) it sounds...- Reckless95

I haven’t really used many other AMP/DACs as this was my first real ‘high end’ headphones & dac/amp. The Lyr 3 is great, however when on high gain which I’m often @ around 12 o’ clock. I do use True-Fi from sonarworks aswell. I used their feature ‘lower volume’ as they boost frequencies...- Reckless95
