true, or offer battery replacements (higher mAh) covered by warranty. and i wish they'd address the battery drain. the battery drains very quickly and it's surprising because it happens even if the device is turned off, sometimes even faster than a smartphone on "sleep"

indeed. can't say for sure how much shorter the battery life will be, but it will be shorter as more power is required to boost the gain. then again if that isn't an issue for you and you are getting the sq you prefer with the gain boost then i'd say you're one happy camper

your audio interface is a DAC, that's how it can play audio from your computer to your speakers :)   with regards to your headphones, really up to your preference. i'd suggest visiting a dealer where you can sample different models and brands and pick out which house sound you prefer most

do you have any way of reinstalling codecs and drivers on your mac partition and can you maybe try out other audio playback software? not really a mac user but just my two cents, hope it helps somehow

really really curious as to how (if they will) alter the sound. it's a game changing concept, on the one hand you can get the PM-2 cheaper (less 200 bucks) or you can go the PM-1 route and get two pairs of earpads with different sound sigs. kinda like having 2 similar yet different planars in 1 pair

if i didn't know i was wearing IEMs i swear these would pass off as full-sized cans what with their detail, soundstage resolution and imaging. absolute beast specially with the uber cables. do they make custom molds of this yet

coming from the 7 13 and 16 i am absolutely in love with the JH house sound but I feel that the Roxanne doesn't quite measure up. specially not with that price tag. sadly in this case more drivers doesn't mean better sound

subscribing, need to find out if changing the pads will indeed change the SQ, won't have the chance to listen to a PM-1 with the alternative pads for at least a month
