Sennheiser IE8/IE80/IE80s vs Sennheiser IE40 Pro
I know it may sound weird due to price difference and Sennhsier's own naming of the products and all, but I am genuinely interested in comparison between these two. Recently I've found out about the world chi-fi and after hearing friend's 40$ earphone basically being on par with my 300$ Senn...- Tail

Sennheiser IE80 vs Chi-Fi
Hey guys! I own a pair of Sennheiser IE80. Friend bought KZ ZSX and I tried them, just to be amazed at how 7 times cheaper iems almost match mine and even surpass them in some aspects. ZSX sounded clearer, more detailed and precise, and bass even tho described as "boomy" and "veiled" was more...- Tail

Several IEM comparison help
I have Sennheiser IE80 and I like it except that mid bass veil (~150 Hz, bass bleeds into mids). It will be soon time to upgrade and I'm not sure which earphone to chose as an upgrade so I narrowed down to several possible options and I'm really interested how do they compare with each other...- Tail

Sony XBA-Z5 vs. Sennheiser IE8 / IE80
Did anyone hear both IE80 and Z5? How do they compare? Does Z5 have bigger soundstage (IE80 has massive)? Does it have more lower sub bass (that feel more than punch)? How is mid bass (IE80 are a bit bloated and veiled, at ~150 Hz)? How does highs compare since from what I understood both...- Tail

Safe listening volume?
I'm worried if I listen to music too loud cause I don't wanna make some irrevocable hearing damage. I listen to music 2-4h a day, but 1h at the time continuously (1h workout, 1h commuting to university, 1h back to home etc). With Sennheiser IE80 I use FiiO X3 and volume is ~60 on low gain...- Tail

Differences between portable players
I have a good hearing (also due to my age, but generally I checked it quite a few times) and I always tested those smartphones and players well, in silent room (those players I've tested in isolated studio room of the dealership used for testing gear), also tested them with fairly easy to use...- Tail

IEM recommendation
I'm searching for a new pair of my "perfect" in ears for quite some time now and since I have IE80 that still work flawlessly I'm not in that much of a hurry but I want to be ready when the times come which is now sooner and sooner. Not sure how to completely describe the sound I like but...- Tail

Searching for the new music, favorite bands
Hi everyone! I'm having hard time finding new music to listen to... My collection, ~37000 songs, from all genres: flamenco, all genres of rock (from the softest acoustic versions to heavy metal, except trash metal that I don't like), rarely rap/hiphop, sometimes electronic tho not... -
Explanation of audiophile terms?
I think by now after reading many review I understand most of those terms that are used when describing sound but I'd like some more precise explanation, not some abstract talk: Soundstage As I understood it's the feeling of how far something is, sense of space. Imaging...- Tail

Comply foam tips help
I have Sennheiser IE80 and I was thinking of getting Comply tips (that mixed color option so I can put red on one and blue on the other earpiece so I see which one is right/left). Since the mid bass can be overbearing and affecting mids logical is that with better seal that problem will be...- Tail

Help choosing in ear <500$
Hello! I don't know how to explain exactly what sound I like but I'll try my best. From "high end" in ears I owned old old Sonys flagship MDR-EX700lp and now Sennheiser IE80, also had for a week Vsonic GR07 (normal first edition): - Too sibilant and harsh highs on EX700, other than that...- Tail
