The Pono Player Impressions Thread
I've had a Pono player since December and have enjoyed it thoroughly with my HD600s. I want to make the jump getting a balanced cable and seeing how that sounds. Here in the UK, I've seen a cable that is basically an HD650 stock cable that has had the single 3.5 jack replaced with two 3.5 jacks...- whatisitsci

COMPARISON / REVIEW (Part Deux) : A tale of two Sennheisers – HD600 vs HD650
I just wanted to say that this thread helped in my decision to get a pair hd 600s and I'm really glad I did. They sound fantastic - very natural, well balanced and definitely enough bass. I auditioned a pair of Fidelio X2s a few weeks ago and, while I can't say I completely trust my memory, I'm...- whatisitsci

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I'm thinking about the x2 vs the Sennheiser hd 650. Has anyone compared them? I had the chance to listen to the hd 650 through an ak 240 the other day. I was struck by how natural the Senns sounded. Do the x2 sound as natural? Do they sound fun?- whatisitsci

Focal SPIRIT PROFESSIONAL Impressions thread
I got the FSP about a week ago and I really REALLY like them. I don't have any super high end stuff so my early comparisons have been to the my Alessandro MS1 and Philips Fidelio L2. Impressions so far have been good, a lot of detail and I'm very happy with the flat response, may be the...- whatisitsci

Is it worth upgrading to the dx90 from a dx50? I've heard the amp section is much better but my headphones (Philips Fidelio L2) are low impedance (16 ohm) so do I really need a better amp section? Also, is there a benefit to having to 2 mono dac chips rather than 1 stereo? Thanks for any help!- whatisitsci

PONO - Neil Youngs portable hi-res music player
I'm thinking about pulling out of my pledge due to being in the UK and the taxes and duty pushing the price up. Can anyone suggest another DAP at a reasonable price with a decent UI?- whatisitsci

Philips Fidelio L2
Unfortunately I've not heard the X1 but the L2 sound great to me. The momentum on ears just sound muffled and the Alessandros sound very sharp by comparison. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk- whatisitsci

As far as I can tell it has a Sabre DAC chip (or is it Ayre?). Does anyone know/can anyone estimate how this might perform side by side with a Fiio, etc with the same source material?- whatisitsci

Philips Fidelio L2
I bought the L2 recently and I completely agree. They're so clear and are a really enjoyable listen compared to my previous headphones (aurvana live, momentum on ear, alessandro ms1).- whatisitsci
