I run the Soundblaster AE-5 into an Airist R2R>THX789>Audeze LCD2C/DT1990. For music i switch over to a usb connection so i don’t have to change any settings in the SB software.

I’m using a Loki with the 1990, i think my eq adjustments would be close to what you mentioned above. Highly reccommended.

Just looking at the Audeze SE cable, it has 4 wires all the way to the plug, I might be better off putting an XLR on the end of that. Has anyone done this?

Are you sure about this? It’s been a while since i ran that config but i had virtual surround through a magni amp connected to the line out. There is an option in the control panel ‘apply virtualization to: headphone/line out’.

I don’t mean it was bypassed, it was powered down. If its in the signal path it needs to be powered up.

Yes, tried 2 headphones, tried removing the loki, tried reversing the l/r rcas into the magni, tried reversing the l/r cables into the headphones. The problem always stays with the right channel of the magni.
