You would be better off with the IE80 over the H1. The IE80 has better soundstage compared to the H1. But, the H3's soundstage is much better than the IE80. The bass are also darn good too.

Yes!! your dream has come true......the highs are much better extended and controlled. From what I know, it does not spikes compared to the EX1000
