Yeah with my omni feeding my DAC and amp whenever I turn on the Pro Studio features my HD800 gets better bass but loses a lot of soundstage width..now I just turn it on for gaming and off for music.

  I'm currently using the new Matrix Mini-I so to be honest that is the weakest link in my chain. What DAC do you feel complements the HD800? My only requirement is an optical input as I use them on my pc and I use the optical out of my sound card for games.
