Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
I've been playing around with Solderdude's measurement and my own curve, here's my current 2 cents eq for the A-pad FWIW: I think the dip at 4.5k is an artifact from resonance? Fully correct it based on measurement alone will lead to overcorrection (The original calculation from REW suggests a...- aleksanderp

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
The 990/880 pad works and sound very similar to A pad, I don't think it is firmer though. The B pad probably is similar to 770- aleksanderp

They are iSine, so I assume the Cipher cable is the default tuning. I am happy that Audeze publish the EQ so one without iDevice can use the iem on other platform to its fullest potential, please keep up the good work KMann...- aleksanderp

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread
I don't notice any change in sound. The fit is so much better now due to the softer cable and the lack of memory wire, the stock cable keeps getting in the way.- aleksanderp

Hey I just got my cable from Penon: https://penonaudio.com/2-Pin-0.75mm-4-Core-Earphone-Upgrade-Cable It fits FLC8s fine, I don't plan on changing the cable often though, so YMMV. So if you are fed up with the stock cable, this is an alternative.- aleksanderp

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones
@KMann Hi, got a question for you. Crinacle measured the iSine10 and iSine20 (here: https://www.head-fi.org/f/threads/crinacles-fr-measurement-database-306-iems-measured.830062/page-19#post-13585405) and saw a peak at around 1.5k. I also measured iSine10 with my IMM-6 setup and saw a 12-15db...- aleksanderp

If you use foobar there is a DSP called "Matrix Mixer" which allows you to reverse polarity of any channel, without needing to rewire the thing. Now ZS5 has 4 drivers, so I am not sure if it is possible to reverse polarity of some driver but not others? Could be a sticky situation if that's the...- aleksanderp

Having been on Headfi for a few years I would actually trust FR measurement on the same rig much more than different people's impression, especially when impressions are so widely diverging. Headphones Frequency Response: Challenges & Solutions
Apology if this doesn't makes sense: if a good headphone should sound like a flat speaker in a good room, wouldn't the fr of a flat speaker measured through your specific dummy head be a better curve, rather than taking the curve from somewhere else? Since every dummy head (and every person) has...- aleksanderp

Sam, the video is very informative and enjoyable. May I suggest that you post the uncompensated graph in each headphone's measurement as well? As people's taste change and you may be revising your curve in the future. Thanks and please keep up the good work. :)- aleksanderp
