I have sold a pair of HE-400 and bought a pair of LCD-2's from the Sales forum, but now when I click on submit a new listing, I get this message: You are not allowed to post classifieds.  

They sound metallic, thin and really unnatural on every song I have listened to, only old songs and perfectly audiophile recordings (which I almost never come by because I listen to modern pop) sound good with them. My car speakers are supposed to be low fidelity, but they actually sound like...

For example, is the bright dt880/990, akg k701 or hd800 more detailed than darker more laidback headphones like lcd-2 or hd650? Or do they just push details more upfront?

In my country, the dt990 pro costs 150 dollars and the dt880 pro costs 240 dollars. On amazon the dt990 pro costs around 200 bucks and the dt880 pro 250 bucks. They pretty much sounded overall the same to me, whats the reason behind such a price difference?

Examples being the HD650/HD600, and the DT880/DT990. They share the same driver, but had different bass/mids/lows. How do the manufacturers tune the sound to a certain signature?

The new fazor one is going the bright route, IMO if people wanted bright they would buy the lcd-x/he-560 or hd800. The old lcd-2's had the dark and creamy sound signature but the lcd-2's have so many revisions that I'm confused.
