Are the one with iphone 6 Balanced armature in nature?

I have no intentions to use headphones in the out. So open and big is no issue to me. I had considered V-moda ( as i had The LPs and i was so irritated with its thin ear-cups) but is not good on comfort IMHO.

I have a nexus 4 and Koss Pro Dj100, but Nexus 4 is not good enough to drive the dj100. How good is E17 when paired with Nexus 4? can I use it as a DAC with Nexus 4? Please help me guys.
