Sony MDR-1R vs AiAiAi TMA-1 Studio Young Guru Edition

As the title suggests, i would like to know how these two compare. Price difference is not an issue. Like my name suggests, i listen to dubstep, rap and trap and thats pretty much it, so I definitely do enjoy bass, but i do not want it to ruin the other frequencies too much. I understand...

    Sony MDR-1R series MK2

Subbed, definitely interested about the MDR-1RMK2, hope the difference is more than just an extra cable. If so, I`d definitely consider buying these as I`m looking to buy some cans soon.    If anyone finds out anything about the 1rMk2, don`t be shy to post here or PM me.

Looking to buy my first serious pair of closed over-ear headphones (200$-400$)

Sry for the last answer, went to one hell of a party last night........... My iPod has 32gb of storage. However, I will definitely consider buying a new DAP to go with my new cans, whichever model i choose to go with. Thanks, Chris

Looking to buy my first serious pair of closed over-ear headphones (200$-400$)

If i were to stick wih my iPod for now, would i be better off buying a LOC with an apple plug and buying a lighting adapter or could i just get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm LOC and plug it into my iPod's headphone jack? Would option #2 affect sound quality since i would not be using my iPod's main output...

Looking to buy my first serious pair of closed over-ear headphones (200$-400$)

Ah i get it now, thanks. I'm sure a simple google search would have explained to me what a DAP was, but that would require effort :P. I'll definitely consider that route. Thanks, Chris

Looking to buy my first serious pair of closed over-ear headphones (200$-400$)

Hey Mshenay, Could you please explain to a poor little HS noob what a DAP is?? Also, i believe that with this setup i would still need to buy a stupid 30 pin/lightning adapter, correct? Thanks, Chris

Looking to buy my first serious pair of closed over-ear headphones (200$-400$)

Yeah but thats extra dough being spent towards Apple's evil money sucking plan instead of the cans themselves. I guess i don't have much of a choice though. Thanks, Chris

The dt990's are appetizing as well, however i am looking for closed cans, mainly due to the fact that i will be taking my phones with me in public (noisy). Thanks, Chris

Hey Cel, I have actually been eyeballing the pro 900's for a while, however they are a bit out of my price range up here :( Thanks anyways though, I'll keep an eye out for them. Chris

Sounds MINT. Be sure to start a thread whenever you pull the trigger on your project. I hate to interrupt this conversation but I'm in a bit of a "crisis" right now... Ok it may mot be a crisis, but it is somewhat of a problem. I just realized that all of Fiio's LOC cables for ipods only...

Yup, pretty much anything with boom boom bass in it gets college people's attention. What college are you attending/planning to do this for, if you don't mind my asking?

That actually sounds like a pretty cool idea, kinda like a Head-Fi for your college.

Thanks to all 3 of you for your input. The M-100's are definitely my 2nd favourite as of now. As for the L9, thank you Noxa for confirming the pain in the posterior region which can be felt during usage, i will look elsewhere :P Thanks, Chris

Looking to buy my first serious pair of closed over-ear headphones (200$-400$)

Hey all, After doing some more research (i just can't stop!!!), it seems that the L9 LOD has a few flaws, such as the fact that it blocks the headphone "out" jack on the E11. Can anyone here confirm this and/or suggest a better LOD option? 99% of my music listening is with a 5th gen iPod...

Looking to buy my first serious pair of closed over-ear headphones (200$-400$)

Hey mshenay, Haha i didn't mean just a plain old rubber band, i meant a cool one from Fiio, which i thought i saw in a review video. :P As for the LOC, i guess i'll just get the L9 as i like the fact that it has angled connectors. Thanks, Chris

Looking to buy my first serious pair of closed over-ear headphones (200$-400$)

I'm having a bit of difficulty finding out what exactly comes with the Fiio E11... I guess what I'm saying is does it come with a LOC and rubber band or do I have to purchase those seperately? Thanks, Chris
