So, am I doing any damage to my headphones when that distorted sound plays?

Not sure it's disk access. The crackling is repeatable, sounds the same at the same point in the sound everytime, regardless of volume. I didn't think I was listening to my headphones too loud. I will turn them down and see what happens(in regards to the headaches). I'll try just wearing them...
