I read your post about that, So that makes the 7520 probably even more comfortable for even a larger group of people, which is what I wanted to state in my post above to Andrew. who just like you experiances discomfort with the B&W and So most likely wil with the focals aswell.

No need to say sorry, out of the 3 headphones you list I have only had brief listening sessions the P7, tho I lended the Z1000 for a longer period from a friend in the Pro audio business So I can comment on the comfort of the 7520 as the build and padding is nearly identical to the 7520.

Focal Spirit pro is a different headphone then the Focal Spirit classic If you had comfort issues with B&W then most likely you will be more pleased comfortwise with the 7520 opposed to the Spirit pro. Soundwise Some people say they Like the Spirit pro more, I havn't heard the Spirit pro so I...

It might give a more bass-heavy sound, and that would not be good atleast not to me.

True, tho my Panasonic plasma TV broke down last month all of a sudden it didnt want to start up anymore it only gave me seven ledblinks of death :-) . Panasonic technicians came repaired it within 48 hours @ zero cost for me even tho they had to replace a entire print.

I know you did not keep the receite but just contact focal for your defective 'spirit one' and explain your situation I'm quite sure they will replace your defective unit and it would be rediculous to start trying to repair the headphone in order to repair a Factory flaw.

The first batches of the spirit one had quite some problems, Focal correctly replaced and replaces defective headphones, you should contact Focal and no doubt that they will help you get your non defcective replacement.

Its an endless topic and sort of as comparing art or architecture with each other. some people prefer a Waterhouse others Kandinsky or Klee. Some just appreciate any goodlooking design. And then there just are those who like the odd desingns. Some odd designs are tollerated by the great sound...

So Mike Hifiguy uploaded his review of the Spirit pro to YouTube, he mentions that they are comfy and that he can wear them for hours, regarding the Spirit Classic im not sure the earpads are made from the same material but sizewise its similar to the Spirit pro.

be sure to replace the detatchable cable that comes with the x1, v-moda has good cables that arnt to costly. switching the cables will improve the sound allot or maybe I beter say it wil let the x1 show the potential it has.
