THE DIY HEADPHONE STAND THREAD
This really doesn't qualify as DIY but . . These things mount on the wall and are for holding a guitar where the neck meets the head. The two fingers are covered in foam.- DownhomeUpstate

Merrill ES-R1 Replica Turntable
George Merrill designed update to the AR-ES1, with massive polymer floating armboard, suspended subchassis and pulleys, and the AC synchronous motor from the Merrill Heirloom TT. The platter and subplatter are the same heavy polymer, mated with rubber-impregnated cork. Absolutely no need for a...- DownhomeUpstate

PHILADELPHIA area meet October 26th, 2013
Thanks, Lee. This was my first Head-Fi meet, and Josh and I had a great experience. Loved the LCD-X with the Woo WA6-SE combination that Jack brought. With hi-res well-recorded source material the mids were rich but not too warm, the bass tight and tuneful, attack/definition was outstanding...- DownhomeUpstate

Just got in some Nucleotide wire from DHC, and some of their 3/8" and 1/8" black sleeving. The wire is very nice looking, and I'm thinking about leaving it bare. If I do, what's the best way to treat the 4-to-2 split about a foot before the ear cups?- DownhomeUpstate

Sub'd, y'all. DHC is selling their Nucleotide 24 ga. OCC copper/clear teflon for $1.99. I'm thinking about braiding that stuff nekid. What's the rule of thumb for estimating how much extra length you need when you do a four wire braid? I'm shooting for a 10' finished length. Thx- DownhomeUpstate

Assuming that it has been received, built and making music by 10/26, should I bring a gently modded Bottlehead Crack w/Speedball and Senn HD600 w/Stefan Audio Art Equinox cable? -

New to Head-Fi - glad to see something in the extended neighborhood (coming from northeast PA). See you with my 14 year-old gamer (Steel Series fan) son in October! Anything we can do to help? -

Please add 2 more to the list - my 14 year-old wants to come, too. We'll do the Philadelphia meet in October, and then swing over to Queens in November. I was afraid all the good stuff would be happening on the left coast - a journey too far, unfortunately. Is there anything we can do to help? -
