General Information
George Merrill designed update to the AR-ES1, with massive polymer floating armboard, suspended subchassis and pulleys, and the AC synchronous motor from the Merrill Heirloom TT. The platter and subplatter are the same heavy polymer, mated with rubber-impregnated cork. Absolutely no need for a platter mat. The platter is also machined for a ring clamp (not yet available). Mated with a good tonearm and cart, this thing is non-resonant and makes beautiful music from a very quiet background.
