Best classical headphones for under $800
Quote: I'm not sure if it would be an upgrade from K702s. But I think that the Beyer dt880 have a sound more natural than my AKGk271 and than the open back K240 as well. Especially in the high frequencies. If you ever felt that your AKG sounds kinda "unnatural" you should try something...- Sound Devourer

Best classical headphones for under $800
I'm actually using a Beyer DT-880. I "upgraded" from a AKG K271mkii, I used it to listen to classical music as well, but I never really liked the high frequencies on it. So I would suggest a headphone from Beyer. DT-880 sounds very nice for me :). But you could get a T1 to make sure that you...- Sound Devourer

The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread
Quote: I have a DT-880pro 250ohm and compared with my AKG K271MKII I can say that the sound is quite different. I personally prefer the Beyer DT, for me it sounds more natural. I never tryed the 600ohm version, but since the 250ohm version is easier to drive and generally cheaper than the...- Sound Devourer

DACMagic Plus Impressions
I would like to make a question. What if I don't want to use the upsampling function? Is it possible to turn it off, or it is something that is automatically done by the DAC? Bit perfect without processing is welcome for me ^-^- Sound Devourer

DACMagic Plus Impressions
Quote: I think (Hope) that it will be ok with my Beyer 250ohm . This will be my first good quality DAC/AMP. I'm having a hard time to chose between Asus Essence one and DM+. I'll make some upgrades in the future, probably get another AMP. For your experience would you say that DM+ would...- Sound Devourer

Quote: Thanks for the reply. In fact I will be "producing/tracking". Since ATM I don't have neither a sound card with SPDIF out nor a headphone amplifier. I thought that it would be a good idea to get a "all in one DAC/AMP Soundcard" like Essence one or DM+. I intend to make some upgrades...- Sound Devourer

The Beyerdynamic DT880 Discussion thread
Hello guys. I just bought a DT-880 pro. Actually I'm looking for a good DAC/AMP that would match with the DT-880 for a good price range. I was thinking about the Cambridge Audio DAC Magic Plus or the Asus xonar essence one (maybe the muses edition). I intend to use the equipment mainly for...- Sound Devourer
