This does nothing for people using an iPhone though as they have said numerous times they will never have an iPhone app. An Xbox app should be pretty simple to get working. As far as I know it’s pretty similar to windows 10 now.- cmdrdredd

If you are referring to hearing “footsteps” I think that you would hate every headset that is of any quality. In a game like CoD(popular example) the audio is so terribly mixed and overly loud it drowns out any fine detail in the audio. You have to use a custom EQ to turn up or down specific...- cmdrdredd

Nope because it’s not an issue for me on any controller I use and I have a series x and elite 2 and use these on pc and Xbox. If it was a controller problem it would affect everyone. In fact you are the only one I’ve seen blame the controller. Nearly everyone else has found a solution (and...- cmdrdredd

I just use the headset in its default neutral state. I don’t EQ them. The sound is clean and I don’t have any issue with fatigue or harshness personally.- cmdrdredd

The popping is an interference or range issue. When I walk out of range where it’s barely getting a connection I get these pops and it doesn’t matter if I am on my Xbox or pc. It would do it the same. Under normal use it’s fine, it’s only when I walk away from the dongle and it begins to lose...- cmdrdredd

They have said that for best results on PC use 100% volume on windows then adjust the volume on the headset. I also prefer Atmos over windows sonic FWIW.- cmdrdredd

They are a bit stiff yes. They don’t seem to rotate much and I can move them by hand but I can’t tell if they stay or not. Generally I don’t have too much issue, just wish they were bigger around.- cmdrdredd

I only get the pops when I walk to a point where I start to get connection issues. I have multiple devices plugged in near it in my pc and an Xbox wireless adapter for controllers as well as my router not far. Those devices don’t seem to affect it.- cmdrdredd

Arctis 7x also work on multiple platforms. The sound quality is a pretty big downgrade though. I don’t think Arctis are bad, but the penrose just sound a lot better.- cmdrdredd

Which pads did you actually get? I only see one that says penrose compatible and it has 1 review on the US site. If you could provide a link it would be great. Also how did you remove the ear pads? It doesn’t seem like they come off easily- cmdrdredd

So I opened my penrose x just now and after reading all the complaints about comfort I expected to hate it. It’s not bad at all. Pretty comfy if I’m being honest. Maybe I’m tolerant or just have the perfect head match lol. The ear cups could be larger but they fit well. Haven’t done any real...- cmdrdredd

The regular penrose does work on pc. The difference with the x is that specifically has the special chip for Xbox certification and the dongle has a slider you can toggle between Xbox and pc mode. Pc mode works for PlayStation. The normal penrose marketed for PlayStation lacks that capability...- cmdrdredd

If the penrose x don’t work out for me but the planar magnetic drivers impress me enough I am prepared to order the LCD-GX headset and stay wired. The penrose x is my first step into this type of driver system. I figured it’s cheap enough to get a taste of what it has to offer over the standard...- cmdrdredd
