No contest at all, k81dj. Awesome fun sound, nice soundstage, and if you decide you want some brightness you can even take the foamies out. If you wanted an open can I'd recommend the px100 over the grados. I haven't heard the sr60s, but the sr80s sounded very metallic and unnatural to me.

PX100s are wonderful headphones, and very forgiving of source problems. Highly recommended.

I'd recommend against the SR-80s, to me their mids sounded very metallic and unnatural. The k81dj would probably be a great choice. It's got very sweet, smooth mids, and plenty of bass to bring life to her hip-hop, etc.

I just can't help but laugh picturing somebody trying to listen to themselves play drums through sr60s or hd555s. When I ride the train tomorrow, I'm going to feed my k81djs from an external microphone in real time to try to understand the experience.

Mmm, AKG K81DJ and Koss A130... Add in the KSC-75 and you have the ultimate trifecta of bargain listening power. The A130 and the k81 actually sound quite similar. The A130 is more detailed and revealing than the k81, I'd say, and is more comfortable, but is much larger and has poorer...

I wouldn't recommend any IEM for running; the noise from your feet hitting the ground is very loud when you have a proper seal. I'm not sure if semi-isolating canalphones have the same effect.
