**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
Not sure, sorry. There's a few posts on using the BD pads in this thread - maybe worth a search. Again, not sure. I hate removing and re-attaching the pads on the HE-400 so I don't want to measure it, but I'm sure those kind of specs are around if you look.- Muzika

Hifi Man Velour pads and apparently the Beyerdynamic DT880 pads. I find the Hifi Man pads to be on the hard side, if I hadn't already bought the Hifi Man velour pads, I would have gone for the DT880 version.- Muzika

That's the main problem I've had so far with EQ'ing. I haven't been able to EQ without it sounding as though it's been EQ'd! By that I mean the balance seems out of wack, or clarity is lost in the high-end. So far I'm presuming that's due to my poor EQ skills; I've tried other people's...- Muzika

I hadn't planned on writing a negative review. I've done Jergmod Pt I & II and played around with EQ a bit - but not enough to reach a solid conclusion (which is why I wouldn't be writing a review yet, myself). My cable broke - really easily - and I don't think this is too uncommon. Had it...- Muzika

Which neg reviews? If the headphones need modification to meet their exceptional ratings then I think that should be highlighted more. I think post #1 is pretty outstanding in its content (and brevity), with mention of jergpad mod already there, but some specifics/links on EQ'ing may be...- Muzika

Schiit Magni Headphone Amplifier
Haven't contacted Schiit Audio yet. Instead, I've sent an email to the authorised reseller here in Australia. Awaiting their response. I've tried another wall plug - no dice. I only have the one wall wart.- Muzika

+1 for reading a negative review. I'm not crazy about my HE-400s, and since getting them I've given others a listen to mixed responses... I did a lot of research here on Head-Fi and I personally think they're overrated and there are too many overly positive reviews (and the detractors are not...- Muzika

Schiit Magni Headphone Amplifier
My Magni lost power the other night and now it doesn't turn on. I'm wondering if my setup influenced the problem... PC (USB) -> Modi (RCA) -> Dussun T6 amp (RCA, Record Out) -> Magni -> HE-400 Any ideas?- Muzika

How to equalize your headphones: A Tutorial
I'm having some trouble understanding parts of this guide. I think I understand how SineGen is used, that is: finding peaks, adding different amplitudes of that peak frequency, and finally comparing them to some reference frequency (@ 0dB) to 'calculate' the 'correct offset' for the peaks. Once...- Muzika

Melbourne Meet Saturday 13/7/13
Glad to meet everyone today and get some exposure to the different equipment. As mentioned, I only got my kit last month and hadn't done much listening so I felt a bit unprepared for today. Nonetheless, I got some good listening in. I was quite impressed with the bass (and comfort) of...- Muzika
