I looked through the pictures in this thread, and I guess there aren't any dark gray (the same color as the filter on the outside) that aren't microphonic? I like the headphones, but these are the worst cables I've ever had.   EDIT: So, I'm guessing this cable would work fine?  ...

Where is the detailed comparison on these and the dunu 2002. My dn1k just stopped working because the crappy headphone jack (all my headphones seem to break if they're connected to my phone in my pocket instead of on my belt clip case), so I'm looking for some headphones with detachable cables...

I can't really tell where the damage is. Is there a small nick  on the inner circle as if he tried to pry it off? Did he tell you that there would be cosmetic damage? Did he offer detachable cable option?

I didn't know these could be recabled. Another guy in the topic (forgot which page it was) mentioned that he doubts the housing could be opened without causing "extensive damage." I wonder if the person who had his recabled has cuts/damage on his housing.   Edit Purpose: Forgot to add "I wonder"

If the vast majority of the heavily praised headphones from audiophiles are harsh-treble, no sub-bass... would that make them treble-heads? Many of them call these headphones "accurate," yet music, movies, and even games that require sub-bass (ie hip hop, action movies, first person shooters)...

It seems like there's no clear-cut standout headphone for every price range in the closed market. For IEMs, at about $100, people will either point you to the gr07 or the im70. For closed full-size headphones, it seems like there is no real standout at $100 or $200.

Thanks, but the im50 is not even on my radar. It's really just the im70 vs im02 for me. I guess I'm looking for a gr07 killer that has slightly more sub bass and detachable cables.

I want to... but... then... the CLARITY. I thought someone mentioned that the im70 doesn't have the clarity to match the gr07. I feel like it would always eat away at me. I'm ordering today, though.
