if that happens I'll probably just get a cheap DAC for a while

I order just the magni 2 for now, I'll use it without a DAC for now.  from what I gather on my search online it'll be better to invest in a higher level DAC. I was looking at something like the bifrost (but I don't really know which midrange DAC will be best)

how much of an impact does a DAC have on the quality? how will a cheap DAC (like the fiio d03k) compare to the modi? edit: getting the cheap DAC is only 50$ cheaper after tax if there really is no difference then I will get the cheap one but for 50$ I don't mind to get a higher quality one
