Audeze EL-8 Titanium?
I don't believe the cypher cable will be available for sale out of the titanium. Tidal is great, but honestly, the convienance of Apple Music on apple devices is too hard to ignore.- trentrosa

Audeze EL-8 Closed Version Impressions Thread
Yes, for example the crack is especially intolerable. That's understandable considering it was designed without the notion of driving planars. I certainly wasn't expecting them to pair well. Another thing I'm going to have to look into is upgrading the headband padding, as the top of my head...- trentrosa

Audeze EL-8 Closed Version Impressions Thread
Just received my el8 closed backs. Coming from a pair of HD650s, I have a few initial impressions. Firstly, they are stunningly gorgeous and of a high quality, especially next to the HD650s. However on the other hand, they are noticeably heavier and the supplied cable is much shorter. Sound...- trentrosa

Schiit Mani
I'm not getting enough gain out of my Bottlehead Reduction, but I'm unsure as if a downgrade in price to the mani would be the solution.- trentrosa

Audeze EL-8 Titanium?
Audeze definitely dropped the ball with the distribution of the titanium. Local dealer was unable to order them in as Audeze was instead interested in filling the demands of Apple. Not very nice considering I put down a deposit with my dealer. They won't be available for 6 weeks despite Audezes...- trentrosa

Hifiman Edition X
Auditioned a pair today. I did not find them to be particularly efficient. My iPhone 6 with the volume cranked didn't drive them to a loud enough level. I also found them to be more of a boring, flat sound, but that's my own preference. Mind you, if they had been properly amped and with more...- trentrosa

Who here is a high school audiophile?
In regards to the above setup, I would probably place the speakers a little closer to the wall and ditch the subwoofer, then angle them to perfectly face the chair. If I insisted on using the sub, i would place it in front of the chair.- trentrosa

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I've heard mixed reviews about the Vali with the HD650, however haven't tried it myself. The Crack on the other hand is superb. Very superb. You won't believe the tone and tight bass you will get out of a Crack with Speedball paired with the HD650s until you hear it. Upgrades and tube rolling...- trentrosa

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
As much as it pains me, cute is a very appropriate descriptive word, however I would need a mani stacked in a modi, then a sys to switch the two into my magni 2 or active pre, and just because I want to see how big I can make this pile of Schiit, a Wyrd into my modi :D- trentrosa

Gah. 'Audiophile' USB Cable.
Ideally, in my mind a digital cable should exactly transfer data, no boutique needed. I also believe an analog cable only influences the sound when introducing capacitance or external noise due to poor shielding. A conductor is a conductor. What do you guys think?- trentrosa

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
I'd like to see a stand alone preamp from Schiit housed in their small chassis and in the $100 range. Edit: With a gain stage- trentrosa
