Have you tried the balanced output? With my Hifiman Sundara and Tin P1+ (both balanced) it doesn't sound slow and muddy at all, voices and acoustic instruments are very realistic

I recommend the Predator with the SE530, much better sinergy and highs, I have also the Pico.

My Grado RS-1 and my Dell XPS M1330 togheter with my USB DAC/AMP Predator by Ray Samuels they really sound great!
