Good idea. Took me a few tries, but I think I've crimped it hard enough this time to stay on for a while.- ricercar

**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
After 4 years, the threaded ring (left side) on my HE400 stock cable has broken. The cable still mates with the headphone receptacle, but there is only friction keeping the connector inserted; the threaded section is no longer attached to the connector. . Is this easily repaired by soldering...- ricercar

Vintage Stax repair and maintenance
Here is a place to get the 6-pin connector. You'd have to solder it yourself. https://www.etsy.com/listing/228275951/6-pin-plug-for-stax-normal-bias?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=stax&ref=sr_gallery_4 With two pair of unbalanced...- ricercar

Some models of the SRM-1/MK2 have both Pro and Normal Bias. Shop carefully, because I've seen models with 2 outputs the same (¿Pro?).- ricercar

I appreciate the sentiment, but my goal structure appears to be different than yours. :-) - I bill my time at more than $50/hour. - I didn't want to take the effort to figure how to open the earspeakers without cosmetic damage. These are my first pro-bias Stax, new to me, and I want them to...- ricercar

Vintage Stax repair and maintenance
(first post) Hello all; I've acquired a Stax SR-30/SRD-4 combination with a defective right earspeaker. The right output volume is significantly lower than the left earspeaker at the same volume. After browsing this forum for research, I made an enquiry at staxusa.com about whether...- ricercar
