Upgrading my SR60's
I made the upgrade from SR-60s to the 555s and I am happy I did. First of all, the comfort is so superior to the 60s that I can wear them all day for marathon gaming sessions (which, incidently, the 555s are great for on account of the soundstage). The sound is neutral, nothing is...- Klover

From Senn to Grado and back to Senn
Bought set of HD555s a month ago ($200 CDN) - liked the sound, wasn't sure what other headphones sounded like, had problem justifying cost. Returned. Bought SR60s ($130 CDN) - liked the sound, liked the Senns better, realized the comfort issue after a 3hr session. Returned. Friend...- Klover

Should the HD-555 come sealed?
I've seen a box or two that isn't sealed and a few that were. Any idea if it's the stores doing this or Sennheiser. I really don't want someone's returned goods.- Klover

Cannot find HD555 in Canada
I live in Winnipeg so some of those options wouldn't have been feasible but I appreciate the help. Nothing at London Drugs but I have one web-based place to deal with.- Klover

Why did my Grado's get louder?
That's what I thought it could be. Woke up this morning, had some coffee, popped them on and the volume is still louder than it was when I bought them. That should discount ear fatigue as a possible issue.- Klover

Why did my Grado's get louder?
I checked the Windows volume control and it's where it has always been (the default which looks to be around 75% of total volume). The same holds true for the other volume levels.- Klover

Why did my Grado's get louder?
Sound quality is actually better than it was when I bought them (wednesday). The pads don't seem to have changed much. I've been running them non-stop (with them on my head a few hours each day) since I got them. The sound seems to have changed a bit. The bass is more...I don't know, rounded...- Klover

Why did my Grado's get louder?
Ok...ok...enough. Honestly, they become like 25% louder and I haven't touched a thing. But, I am quickly realizing this isn't normal.- Klover

Why did my Grado's get louder?
No, I purposely listened to the same songs to see if I was losing my mind (still a possibility). I originally had my Itunes volume slider all the way to the right side. Now, the volume seems to be the same 3/4 of way to the right. Odd.- Klover

Why did my Grado's get louder?
Bought them a few days ago and, recently, they are noticeably louder than the day before? Is this the much talked about "burn-in" effect?- Klover

Grado cable issue...
It continued to bother me (or the fear of future problems) so I took them back, explained the problem, and was given a fresh set. Happy now.- Klover

Grado cable issue...
I can push it in quite a bit (say an inch). It seems to have something preventing it from coming out so I can't imagine it will be a problem. Maybe it will.- Klover

Grado cable issue...
The cable running into the right driver is loose. By that, I mean I can push it up into the driver a bit (it won't pull out however - not trying at least). Is that normal? Thanks in advance.- Klover

Yet another Recommendation Thread - Opinions Appreciated
Seconded. I just picked up a pair of HD555s for $199 CDN (Winnipeg) and they reveal a great deal of detail and have very nice seperation. I have actually turned to look in the direction of instruments as they were played - great soundstage. I had a pair of SR60s for about a week before...- Klover
