i don't have the hd598 as i like the sound sig from the hd558  more and i got the 518 just for fun but they actually dont sound that much worse than the 598 and 558 when the grill is out. also the 558 clamp more than the 518, at least my pair :)

@crispswish, no they go around my ears without touching. they fit me really good and probably will most people.

@crispswish , i don't know if i'm being subjective or not but for me the hd558 sits tighter on the head. but both are very comfortable and not fatiguing to wear for a long period of time.

for 70e you can't get better portable phones imo...

i bought ws55 recently and i have no issues with the comfort. even though the pads do not surround my ears fully. the grip of the ws55 is like a more compact denon hp500, they sit more tightly on the head but they in no way hurt or feel uncomfortable ( though the ears sweat more :)  ) in...

Hello all, i'm trying to find some ~100e headphones that would be considered as an upgrade to my denon hp500 (which i like). They should be portable and have a good bass like the hp500 but keeping them as much neutral as possible , if there even is something like this for ~100e. i was looking...

unfortunately i don't have that option, i'm just checking if  the models you recommended can be found in the local shops. i can get the ws55 for 70e ,they don't have the ws77 only the ws50 (70e) and ws70 (130e), but even if they get the ws77 they'll probably copy-paste the price of the ws70 like...

what should i get for rock/rap/pop the pioneer hdj 500 or the AT WS55 or something third?  i already have k81dj and denon hp500 how do they compare to them,is the bass better than on the denons? i especially like how the denons sound so i would pick the cans which are similiar/better to them...
