I don't know about E12 but I have a E10 and O2. In my option O2 is the better one to go. 

There are some mid-end headphones in bestbuy.    Some people just take advantage of Amazon's free return policy...

Another question, anyone feel the O2 is too powerful for HD650? For me the maximum tolerated volume is at 9 o'clock of the button. Consider that HD650 is 300 ohms, I wonder any other headphone can utilize O2's full capacity.  

I have owned Q701, T70 and HD650. While HD 650 have the best sound stage for music, I think Q701 is the most accurate and best for gaming.

Sometimes Sen HD598 goes as low as $175. That's a very neutral and comfort can IMO.

For $700 you can get HD650/600 + O2 + Odac, a very good combo.

Hey O2+Odac users, have you kept the builtin battery of O2 or removed it? I think the battery is completely useless and wonder if it will degrade fast.

Have you ever considered the T70/T70P? Sometimes they goes under 400.   I recently got a pair of T70, very comfortable and with good isolation.
