I'd give the CBS/Hytron tubes a try in the power supply. You can get them for less than $100... and they sound great. Just gotta get the right ones. I had the older WA7 and I sold it for the new one and I added the tube power supply this time. I'd say the power supply is gonna be the biggest...

IDK... I loved my old WA7 with the SS power supply. I upgraded to the new dac version and said what the hell and also grabbed the tube power supply this time around. I also added some CBS Hytron tubes to it. Through my HD800... would I say it was worth the upgrade? Eh. It's hard to really find...

Will do! Thanks for the help. $100 for a pair shipped. They had different red markings- CBS was in a diamond and no Hytron name- but from 1955 to 1957 I don't think there was any changes. Slanted getter. Fingers crossed.

I was thinking of the silver poison for my LCD3s... but I ended up deciding on Plus Sound's EXO 26/50 silver with gold... WOW... really woke up those dark LCD-3s... yet still has 100% of the low end. Wondering how these new Toxic Litz wires are going to sound... looking forward to the list.
