The LCD-GX is Now Available!
How would you say they differ in terms of sound? I imagine them being a more V-shaped headphone with a little more air.- Mobat

The LCD-GX is Now Available!
From the look of the enclosure, it's probably at least semi-open back. Going to put my money on open.- Mobat

The LCD-GX is Now Available!
That would be interesting but I feel like that might undermine it as a separate gaming headphone. Hopefully they do release it separately.- Mobat

The LCD-GX is Now Available!
Honestly really excited to see how this will turn out as their other gear is already pretty damn good for gaming. My only concern is the long term comfort as that has been a big issue in the past.- Mobat

Campfire Audio IO
The Orion :P. The Orion has the best vocals of any one I’ve heard in that bracket, hands down. You can snag a used pair on ALO right now for $200- Mobat

$300 is pretty damn solid for the Polaris. Never been able to find them that cheap. But then again, it’s been a while since I’ve looked.- Mobat

Campfire Audio IO
I just got the Massdrop Plus in the mail and I'm very happy with them, they hold up better than I remember. I know it's an odd comparison but I'd love to hear the contrast between the two since they are in the same price bracket. But a bigger question is how they compare to the Orion. The Orion...- Mobat

Campfire Audio IO
I honestly wonder why the IO is cheaper than the Orion since it's a dual BA configuration with a better case.- Mobat

Campfire Audio IO
Oh I know, I've owned them before and felt they were one of the few things in audio (that I have tried) worth their full asking price. I know I'll like them, but Campfire is such an exciting brand. Their in ears are gorgeous and they seem to be trying things other brands don't. I've owned their...- Mobat

Reviews + impressions thread: Final Audio Design Pandora Hope VI (interesting dynamic + BA full size headphones)
Thanks for the info man!. I love the sound but the comfort is just awful. Going to pick up the Ori protein pads based off your recommendation (I can only really buy the protein variants), just hope the protein sound is as good or close to the lambskin.- Mobat

ZMF Vibro MKII Review (A New King has been Throned)
Before acquiring the Vibro’s my previous favorite headphone was the DT990’s. I've owned a few higher end headphones such as the Denon D5000, Sony MDRZ7 and HE 400’s but the DT990’s always came out as the king for me. They were supremely comfortable, well built and had what I had always pictured...- Mobat

Sony's new flagship 2014 - MDR-Z7
the Sony's to my ears sound a bit rolled of in the treble and have a strong mid bass presence with some noticeable sub bass. The mids sound forward and the angled drivers present the sound in a very speaker like way. Great imaging and good soundstage imo. I would not call them neutral but they...- Mobat

Sony's new flagship 2014 - MDR-Z7
Its to give it a more "speaker like presentation". I am a new owner and I am starting to understand what that means. I listened to Tetra Sync by Squarepusher and was absolutely blown away at how different it sounds on these versus anything I have tried.- Mobat

Buying portable or in-ear headphones? Seeking guidance? DON'T START A NEW THREAD. Ask for advice HERE!
My budget is $200, they must be closed back, I must be able to use them on a portable device, and Im looking for clarity. The genres I typically listen to are jazz, classical, IDM, future jazz, and techno. Im going from Sehnhiser cx 150s, to a $200 dollar pair of over ear headphones and I need...- Mobat
