So do you think they sound the same? General question: should we expect any differences in sound for all Ety ER series other than build qualities between US and Vietnam versions?- ozkan

So ER2SE is bassier than MK5? Did I get it right? A small lift in bass department with similar mid and treble presence would be perfect if ER2SE would do these. Thank you for your comparisons btw.- ozkan

Thanks for your offer but I don't live in UK. Otherwise I'd be grateful. Actually I cannot stretch my budget for 4SR I removed the green filters but I didn't like the sound and put them back. It became so shouty in the mids and highs. I may order 2SE but I'm afraid there won't be much difference 🤔- ozkan

@ClieOS, do you still think ER2SE is a good upgrade from MK5 and ER2XR which I've found on the latter the bass is too much and ruins the mids and highs? I have read through pages but I couldn't find any clear comparisons between these? I'm still debating on which I should go for between...- ozkan

Thanks for all the replies guys. I'll first try to remove the filters before sending them back. If I like the sound I may order the filter set. Btw, I believe burn in period for dynamic drivers and some armature based ones like old Pfe 112. I burned my pair for 15 or more but I couldn't hear...- ozkan

How many hours should I burn in my Er2xr? Right out of the box, the bass seems to be too much for my tastes and it is a bit veiling the midrange (bloated/veiled) The treble also doesn't have the extention and refinement that I'm used to with my previous Etymotic Hf5 and Mk5. Or should I send...- ozkan

Earbuds Round-Up
I haven't tried Qian39 but I wouldn't say Vido is over hyped for the price. We are talking about an earbud which sells only for $3.84. I also have H180, Monk/Monk+, SHE3580 and Seahf F32 and owned Zen 2.0 Among all these earbuds Vido is still my favorite. It is really incredible how you can...- ozkan

Seriously Vido is unbeatable for $3.84. I don't know if it is only me but I hear more details with Vido than Monk, H180, SHE3580 or Seahf AWK F-32- ozkan

Absolute best budget earbuds?
MOTE="lyrean, post: 13688520, member: 392604"]Well thanks anyway. I decided to order Yincrow X6's as I don't like the J-cord and the build quality is supposed to be better in these than in Vido's. Vido with mic does have a Y cord.- ozkan

If you have rattling problem on one of the drivers, there are 2 solutions which worked several times for me. I think the rattling comes from the loose driver. The driver membrane which is glued to the front cover may somehow get loose after some usage. There are two ways to fix this issue...- ozkan

No offense but your measurement doesn't mean anything for me since you have a broken Vido to start with which one side doesn't work and you tried that mod on different shells which I think is misleading. That graph doesn't reflect the changes and what I hear after the mod. Well to be honest I...- ozkan

Not agreed. Sennheiser MX500 sounds thinner and less powerful vs Vido. Vido has fuller bass and midrange and has better detail retrieval. At least mine doesn't have similarities with MX500 except shell. Are you using it naked or with foams @ClieOS ?- ozkan

No Vido is already much bassier and darker. H180 sounds digital and has thinner midrange compared to Vido. I prefer Vido over H180. YMMW though.- ozkan
