Thanks for testing that out. It’ll never happen to me as I view engaging in this forum a sport.

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones

Thank you! That solved the issue for me and now I can reliably change the modes. It’s a little silly how fast the tap has to be though...

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones

I’ve been having strange issues with button presses since I received them a few days ago. If I press the left earbud button, it will always register. I know this as there is a tone, or beep, that plays when I press it. The left is set to control NC/ambient sound. The problem is that it doesn’t...

Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones

Thank you for impressions. I am very much looking forward to giving these a try. It’s so unfortunate that in the true-wireless-IEM arena, there isn’t anything that “does it all” and it’s all about compromises. I was quite happy with my Sennheiser IE80 and Audeze iSine 20 paired with my iPhone...

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?

I just bought a pair of the XM3 today and spend a bit of time with throughout the day. With my limited time with them, I have some initial impressions when paired with my iPhone and IPad. The sound quality is decent. Nothing spectacular, but not horrible either. I prefer the “Bright” setting...

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

I just updated to the new firmware. The volume increments are spot on for my tastes. Thanks Audeze for the fantastic customer support!

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

I heard about these IEMs last week, and rushed down to the store to demo them. I was very impressed with both the 20s and 10s. However, I thought that the 20s had that extra bit of detail and control that made it worth the extra cost. I brought home the 20s and have been using them all week...

Question about HDVD 800 with an iPhone 6S Plus

I'm currently looking at purchasing an HDVD 800 / HD 800 combo. My intended source will be my iPhone 6S Plus and my iPad Air. Would a simply using the Camera Adaptor Kit work? Or am I out of luck here? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

I own both and it's a huge difference between the two in terms of soundstage and detail. There are literally full instruments missing when listen to the S4i.

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

I think the Comply TX 500 is the one that fits. I've swapped out my IE80 cable for an IE8i cable as the iphone remote is a must for me. I don't subscribe to the opinion that cables will make a sonic difference, so it's all about functionality for me. That being said, the IE8i cable has some...

Reply to review by 'bloodstriker' on item 'Sennheiser IE80'

Actually, I did't hear about the IE 800 until a few days after I purchased the IE 80. I think the price of the IE 800 is reaching into some pretty nice customs, so I personally don't feel it's a wise spend. Although, I'd like ot hear what people on Head Fi think of them.

Review by 'Bloodstriker' on item 'Sennheiser CX 880 i Audiophile Quality In-Ear Headphone (Black)'

I bought these a few weeks ago, and like the other reviewer mentioned, they don't do anything too special. They are fairly detailed for an IEM at this level, and provide globs of bass. The inline iphone remote is especially nice. There is quite of bit of microphonics.   I will be keeping...

Review by 'Bloodstriker' on item 'Sennheiser IE80'

After two weeks of daily use, I feel I "get" what this IEM is all about now. It's a great IEM for all types of recordings and music. I've run everything through it on my iPhone 5 (no external DAC/Amp) via iTunes and FLAC via Capriccio. I have been doing comparisons between the IE 80, Sennheiser...

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

Just got my IE80s and here are my impressions. I decided to upgrade my one week old CX880i as I wasn't completely satisfied with the sound. However, I'm noticing that the sound is changing as they are burning in. They originally sounded a bit muddy in the mids and highs. And especially...

Recommendations on a set of IEMs please?

ZARIM, thank you so much for your suggestion about the Headphone Bar. I dropped in there today. The owner was just awesome in that he accommodated me in trying out everything from the HD800 to Grados PS1000(?), explained different DACs and amps then let me listen to a bunch of different IEMS...

Comparison: Klipsch Reference S4i vs Sennheiser CX800i

I believe the image and reference are the same with different colors and cables. I wouldn't say that the treble was harsh, but more "edgy" and forward. I can definitely see how one might feel that they are harsh.

Recommendations on a set of IEMs please?

I've gone through a few sets of IEMs recently and found myself unhappy with the results (Klipsch S4i and Sennheiser CX880i). Unfortunately, I have no idea where I can test IEMs before I purchase (Vancouver, Canada).   I'm looking for something with a similar sound signature to my Totem...

Comparison: Klipsch Reference S4i vs Sennheiser CX800i

UPDATE:   After some additional time with the two IEMs, I have done a complete 180.   In terms of sound quality, the CX880i is a lot more laid back with much heavier mid-bass than the S4i. The laid back mids and highs lead me to believe that there was less detail than the S4i. Upon more...

Comparison: Klipsch Reference S4i vs Sennheiser CX800i

I've been trying to find a comparison of the Klipsch Reference S4i and the Sennheiser CX800i. I couldn't find anything so I thought I would buy them both and decide which one suits my tastes. A bit of background about me first. I'm fairly new to the headphone and IEM world. Fhe only semi...
