I am attracted to this r7 form factor. I don't need hp out, just want to put it on a bookshelf as a streamer or dac streamer option into my pre power combo. I wonder how would it perform in this instance compared to let's say bluesound node? Thanks

Yes, you are right, low end got bigger. But overall sound is much smoother and wider.

I have meizu m2, same IC's, minor facelift. I do not like sound though, clearly xiaomi mi4 is better. possibly meizu mx4 pro is a better alternative.

To date best assembly and parts quality in a phone has been found in xiaomi mi4, which my wife owns. Not even a slightest lag, sluggishness after 8 months. I personally went for uber cheap Meizu m2 note and found an absolutely great tool to use, I imagine how better it gets then Meizu's premium...

I am using deezer for more than 4 years and can confirm their SQ improved a lot.  Sadly there is no other option than to stream it using smartphone. I'd prefer dedicated player though.
