For those who are planning on getting Sennheiser HD598, DONT
Quote: Forgive me OP, for admittedly going off topic, but this person's powerful opinion grasped my attention. You see, I feel no one has the right to define what is music. I personally find the abstract orchestral pieces horrendous, but can see how others would call it art. I'll...- moali125

Help choosing LARGE earcup cans under 350$ for big head and ears
The AKG 550s are enormous. In fact, I just couldn't get a good fit without squashing the thing to my ears. They are a fiddle. You want LARGE cans though, so they seem like a better experience for you.- moali125

Any Sound leakge on the DT880/990?
I've had the pleasure of trying the Pro 900. They are amazingly fun, but were a bit tiring for me. For hours of gaming, I'd imagine the velour pads and the more laid-back presentation of the Beyer sound would suit us. They also have crazy bass, but it's more light, and is also apparently beastly...- moali125

Ultrasone Pro 900 vs. Beyerdynamic DT770 (80 Ohm) *Updated Review
Cool, I'll be getting the Beyerdynamics for sure then. You and your guide has been very useful for me so thanks for all your help. I'll try and get some sort of impressions on here if I can. This thread needs more attention than it has now.- moali125

Ultrasone Pro 900 vs. Beyerdynamic DT770 (80 Ohm) *Updated Review
Well thanks for the quick response! I think I would prefer a more laid-back can, so the Beyerdynamics look best. I tried the AKG 550 but the fit was way too loose for me and so I couldn't get a good listen. I want to know whether the Ultrasones are better for games and movies, or the Beyers. I...- moali125

Ultrasone Pro 900 vs. Beyerdynamic DT770 (80 Ohm) *Updated Review
I heard the pro 900 in Selfridges the other day and REALLY liked their sound. However, I did find it too be too much for a long-term listen. How much more laid-back would you describe the DT-770? And would you say that it sounds dull compared to the Ultrasones?- moali125

why don't headphone match music as created
I think as long as you don't have 360 speakers surrounding you, you aren't going to replicate real sound. That said, I actually prefer the intimacy two speakers can offer, and as a producer, it makes it much more convenient for me. It's like the sound hugs you with those earpads, but with real...- moali125

NEWS: Beats in a lawsuit with Yamaha
Design is beats by dres focus so when everyone else has it, they lose everything, except muddy bass. Why yamaha did this? No idea.. Shame they will get sued- moali125

Good-Looking Over-Ear Portable Headphones ($150 - $250) on Amazon (SL300's vs P5)
Amperiors have a detatchable cable, and it has a nice sound to it, from what I tested. Plus, it's portable and rugged.- moali125

Do you secretly respect Beats?
Well I'm one of those that are here because of the beats so I have some respect for them. Most my friends want them but they are openminded enough to care about sound quality. My biggest problem with them is how people think they are better than everyone else when wearing them. I have had some...- moali125

Looking for can that offers portability, fun sound, isolation, bass and around $200 max.
Hey everyone, I'm somewhat new to Head-fi and have been looking round for something that would suit my jump into quality audio, and I feel like these three headphones have fit the bill for me. Sennheiser HD-25 Audio Technica M50 V-Moda M80 I have spent many hours reading on all...- moali125

this time I'm going to get something GOOD.
Well I've looked for what you have wanted and from my research the HD-25 looks to fit the bill. Very clear treble, very nice bass, but not sure the small width of its soundstage would be something you mind. Just replace the wires with HD650 cables if flimsyness is your concern (the HD 25 is...- moali125

Can't tell the difference between ATH-M50s and ipod earbuds...
Quote: As a new member on Head-Fi, thanks for your honesty. I wondered if my ears were terrible, since I found £5 headphones more appealing to me than Sennheiser Momentums, then you explained why I felt that way, right on the money. Seeing people say that paying for hundred dollar cables...- moali125

sennheiser HD-25 good for noob?
I have been following up the HD-25s for the past few days, and so far, they look to be pretty guuud indeed, but one gripe has been stuck with me, whilst I've read up about these cans. If I switch to velour pads (which I definitely will), how would comfort be affected and more importantly, the...- moali125

Razer headphones...
I own and use the Razer Charcharias and out of the list you posted, it has to be the most comfortable. For music, even with a heavy EQ, I find the sound thin, but man is the soundstage wide, and you also get clarity from the upper mids and upwards. Anything below that is either too low for me...- moali125

Are Cans Even That Good
Richard, at one point, I gotta say, I felt like you. I was thinking, what was the big deal with all this hi-fidelity stuff? Why do people spend thousands on equipment to listen to tracks that you can hear on ipod ear-buds? Why is there such a grudge against a pair of headphones (Beats)? And, in...- moali125

A Concise View of Why The ATH-M50 is No Longer King
New on the forums! Anyway, just be happy that Audio Technica has sucked up hundreds, if not thousands, of customers from Beats by Dre. These headphones look good in my eyes for a first purchase, so yes, I will be following the hype-train. I would get the Fisher Audio but it looks like it doesn't...- moali125
