I am using Xonar STX for my Q701/HD650 and I am very satisfied with the sound quality.

I only have Amperior directly connected my iPhone 4s and it sounds AMAZING!!!! But if you wear glasses I do NOT recommend this pair because it is really uncomfortable after long period wearing with glasses. I do not know K550 but 1350 has very high impedance that I do not think iPhone can push...

After reading this thread, I make my final decision to buy Q701 over HD650 because I love more natural and neutral sound with enough bass but not-so-emphasized. Just ordered from Amazon US and the black colour one is only $224.53+$10.97 delivery to Sydeny!!! Unbelievable cheap!!! Cannot wait to...

Totally agree, it is really painful with glasses. But I still love its sound so much.
