The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: I owned both but never really liked the HD600 except for some very specific things (Blues, and acoustic), always found them quite muddy, made the music sound confused. For all kind of Rock and/or metal they really couldn't compete with the T1- Bozoleclown

Official Grado-Beyerdynamic Fan Club (for those who love BOTH! :)
Didn't notice this post until now, but I guess I can consider myself a member I own a DT880 600, recently got the T1 , and also own a 325is, love them all, especially the last 2. The T1 will probably lead me to sell the DT880, as the T1 are way better (even if a little harsh on bad...- Bozoleclown

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
I have to agree with many statements from the last posts. - I also have the pair Burson HA160 / T1, and find the T1 harsh on some recordings. I managed to get a little harshness down by some equalization. Don't know if it comes from the Burson as I don't have any other amp (apart from the...- Bozoleclown

Best open headphone for rock and metal?
Don't know the SA-5000, but as for the Senn HD600, I definitely would not advise these for rock/metal, except maybe for some well recorded progressive rock. They're definitely not good for metal, not enough fast and impactful, always gave me the impression to be blurry Sold them a few weeks...- Bozoleclown

Regarding comfort, and after a lot of reading advices, and lots of tests my conclusion are : - new headband is mandatory (Beyer DT770 one does a great job for cheap), no more pressure on top of the head - for the earchushs, the easiest solutions were the best !! A slight bend on the headband...- Bozoleclown

My T1 is paired with the Burson HA160, I tend to agree regarding quality of recordings : it's really not good with bad recordings. Unfortunatly, don't know if it would be better with another amp (it's quite easy to buy and sell cans, more difficult with amps)- Bozoleclown

Quote: Just did this yesterday (except for the aspirins), and it worked quite well I just bend it a little, and in fact it seemed to work the ear pressure was a little less painful, guess I'll have to go on that way Quote: Would love to buy the Rs1, but in Europe...- Bozoleclown

I've got them for about 1 and 1/2 months, but no I didn't really bend the headband, or maybe just too little (just add a DT770 but that relieves pressure on top of the head, not on the ears) I'll give this a try, thanks- Bozoleclown

Quote: You were right I've just received the G Cush and tried them for 5 minutes on my 325is, and it was just enough for me. Comfort is qui better (although ears are touching the drivers), but they just don't sound the way they should (at least the way I like them). Soundstage...- Bozoleclown

Quote: Totally agreed about comfort (own the 325is) First thing I've done was put on a Beyer DT770 Headband, huge improvement as there's no more heavy pressure on top of the head As for the pads, tried the Sehh HD414 mod, small gain on comfort but decrease in SQ I got a washing...- Bozoleclown

Plz recommend!!!! Which Grado is fit to me?????
I don't know the 701, but I've tried the 601, which are supposed to have more bass impact than 701, and for rock (not saying about hard rock or metal) they were really bad, no bass, no impact, huge soundstage but not sounding natural Agreed for the Denon, they don't really sound like closed...- Bozoleclown

Plz recommend!!!! Which Grado is fit to me?????
Regarding what you want, Grados might indeed not be the best option, I have a 325is, I love it but while not heavy, it's really not comfortable, and sometimes painful for the ears over one hour listening Why not trying Denon ? got the D5000 and it's for me the best all rounders, maybe not the...- Bozoleclown

Quote: I've already used them for more than 10 hours, and they're still uncomfortable (didn't try the rinse thing) Regarding the G-cush, I would like to try, but they're too pricey Anyway, they sound really so great that I guess I can live with this- Bozoleclown

Just wanted to share the pleasure of being the owner of a brand new 325is It's pretty common to write this, but they really shines on rock and especially metal, amazing impact and guitar sound, no lack of bass like I've sometimes read Main problem is that they're the least comfortable...- Bozoleclown

Quote: Well I've got the T1 since 2 weeks, and I listen to a lot of metal, they can sound great, but when the recording sounds like crap (which unfortunatly happens all the time with metal), the T1 sounds really really bad Good but they don't forgive anything They're paired with a...- Bozoleclown

Grado SR325is NOT as good as Sennheiser 280 Pro
Regarding the 598, I've never heard them, but had the 595, as well as the HD650 (sold) and the HD600, all Senneiser. I've bought a grado 325is a few weeks ago, and I really don't know how a Senn can be seen as sounding close to a Grado They're totally opposite, laid back for the Senns...- Bozoleclown
