No I don't think so. Many have compared SE vs XLR inputs before and haven't noticed any significant differences on the output. Also as coastal1 said, i am using ifi Micro idsd as a DAC, so the SE input is my only option.     Thanks buddy.

I run them balanced.  

In order to drive my Alpha Primes efficiently the volume pot floats between 12 - 2 o'clock at 3x gain. I am not experiencing any channel imbalance on mine.

I received my Hybrid Noir HPC approximately 1 month after ordering it. I am perceiving more slam and air between the instruments through my Alpha Primes with this wonderfully made cable. I highly recommend this combination.  

I completely agree with you. I don't own the Ethers and only have used the micro idsd to feed my Primes. The Carbon is a huuuuuuuge step up from the idsd's amp while having a great synergy with it's DAC.

I've purchased the Forza Audioworks Noir Hybrid HPC cable and I'm waiting for the Cavalli LC to arrive in order to try it. I will update you as soon as the amp arrives, but a friend of mine who uses this cable in a similar setup swears about the improvement in sound this cable made for the Primes.

Has anyone ever tried to feed the power hungry primes with the Emotiva mini-X A-100? I currently use micro-idsd with acceptable results, but i am curious about the advantages of using this speaker amp instead, due to the hefty power-up.
