Shure SRH-940 Crack and their service!
Just got my replacement headphones back. Very happy. Sending them there and getting them back took exactly 7 days (including weekend). I noticed that the date of the sticker on the bottom of the box is 2012, so still no slight revision as my last pair was bought in 2012.- Erqury

Shure SRH 940 impression and support thread
I own the srh940 and was looking for a possible open back headphone and the closest one I could find is the 598. I'd give them a listen before you purchase but I don't think you will be disappointed. For a closed back headphone it will be hard to beat these for that air sound.- Erqury

Shure SRH-940 Crack and their service!
I think I will keep them after all. I have done probably over 20+ hours of research to find a replacement and can not. That tells me something. I did the right research when I decided to buy them the first time. These headphones are absolutely amazing and to my ears have no flaws. If/when I...- Erqury

Shure SRH-940 Crack and their service!
So my SRH940s also have cracked. Luckily I had 1 month left on the 2 year warranty so I just sent them in and expect a new package back in a week. When I get these back I plan on selling them due to worries of them cracking again. I am trying to find a comparable headphone with a metal...- Erqury

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
Got to go back on my previous comment. Today I listen to the momentum on my left ear and the 558 on my right. Listened to the same source will no delay and the audio meshed. I would now say the momentum has equal sound to the 558. I didn't like the the 558 let outside noise come in but didn't...- Erqury

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
Considering the price difference you would think the momentum should have superior sound. 558 are like half the price.- Erqury

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
I completely agree with this. I was in a futureshop and they had both the momentum and the 558. They were attached to the same songs so I jumped back and forth. Also got the Gf to try them and we both agree the 558 is better sounding. More clarity. The momentum sounded a bit congested to me...- Erqury

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones
I converted, used to listen to Bose headphones, got a AKG Q460 and was impressed with the difference. Just got my SRH940 and at first thought I heard no improvement, I then put on my old Q460 and that is when I noticed the difference, can't believe how bassy ,muddy congested they are in...- Erqury

Shure SRH 940 impression and support thread
New to the site, just bought the SRH940, at first I didn't understand why people were stating the headphones were uncomfortable, but after a few hours of gaming I see that the headphone does start to sink into the skull. Interested to hear about this potential upgrade from people who try it.- Erqury

Worth upgrading from Q460 to SRH940?
Was originally testing them with my iPod touch and an E6 amp listening to flacs with the Golden Ear app. I was listening to the Dr.Chesky CD that is on the home page in 24bit, 192khz i believe. Now I am testing the headphones with my PC which has an ASUS phoebus soundcard which I believe...- Erqury

Worth upgrading from Q460 to SRH940?
So I went out and got the headphones. Currently listening to them. So far it is not night and day of a difference, so was it worth $300, currently undecided until I listen to more music and movies and games, but so far I am not overly impressed, I am not getting a placebo effect from this purchase.- Erqury

Worth upgrading from Q460 to SRH940?
Thanks for he suggestion, I have looked into amazon but because I live in Canada they will not ship here, also i am moving within a month and i do not want to worry about shipping. $300 is the best I could find locally and online for Canada.- Erqury

Worth upgrading from Q460 to SRH940?
Guess my concern is , will a $300 headphone in general going to give me much better sound, I see the $300 market as the best price to performance ratio. I understand portable vs full is not completely fair but I compare it dispute price difference because I question if I will hear alot if new...- Erqury

Worth upgrading from Q460 to SRH940?
Hello head-fiers, I have recently found this website while looking into what headphones to buy and would like to start with stating how great this community input is, thus I am asking for your opinion and knowledge. I recently (within this year) purchased an AKG Q460 and have been brought into...- Erqury
