I'm planning on getting the Magni2/Modi 2 stack from Schiit. With that out of the way what headphone suggestions do you have?

So at the moment I'm looking at the following: Mad Dog, Alpha Dog, Shure 1540, ATH-1000X. Thoughts?

Didn't see an option on the Modi 2 for that. Have to go w/ the Uber for Optical (also has USB).

So the Modi 2 Uber then, which is fine by me. Also the Magni 2 has a 1/4" jack int he front yes? If so I'll need to get the 1/4" cable when I order the headphones or get a 3.5mm -> 1/4" adapter.

    Probably going to go with the Schiit stack (Magni 2/Modi 2). I really appreciate the help, as I'm pretty noob to the whole "high-end" audio spectrum. Most of my $$$ has gone into my computer setup over the years. I've mainly dealt with $100-300 headphones and never felt the need to dive...

I don't have a soundcard. My motherboard is the ASUS Rampage IV Gene. Its like a ~$250 motherboard. It has a really good onboard audio chip.

Are there any reviews on this forum for the Mad Dog/Alpha dog? Never heard of them but looks good.

Well so far I have Shure SRH550DJ phones, Sennheiser HD 280 Pro and neither of them seem to be what I expected them to be. Both sound "nice" but they lack quite a bit when it comes to the EDM music I listen too...   I have heard that the Audio Technica M50's sound pretty good for EDM....what...
