    Official Goldring DR150 Impressions Thread

I'm happy to see these get some attention. I loved my old pair and was sad to see that Goldring had stopped making them, else I would have bought a second after my first pair started to break after a few years of heavy use.   That Jaben Audio sale is the first time in a while I've seen them...

Shopping for new headphones need some advice

Often you can find some of the lower end Sennheisers, and the odd decent Sony or Panasonic headphone in local stores. At least, I can here.   My advice is to look around at what is recommended at that price point generally, keeping in mind that larger names will likely be easier to find in...

<$35 headphones with mic for PC.

I'd say something along the lines of the Monoprice 8323, Panasonic RP-HTF600-S, or the Superlux 681. Attach a Zalman ZM-MIC1 or a ModMic and you are ready to go.

Mixmaster mikes vs Beats pro vs soul Sl300 vs beats studio vs beats solo hd vs beats mixr

If you have any headphones on in class, the teacher will tell you to take them off, even if you have nothing playing. That shouldn't influence what headphones you buy.

Mixmaster mikes vs Beats pro vs soul Sl300 vs beats studio vs beats solo hd vs beats mixr

This thread, oh dear.   The M50 will fit your taste in sound, but don't look "swag", whatever the hell that looks like. If you are a 14 year old kid who only slightly cares about audio and wants loads of bass, just buy a pair of XB500's for a fraction of the money and be done with it.

Just some quick first impressions on the fairly inexpensive Panasonic RP-HTF890E-S

I found these headphones online for anywhere between £50 and £120 (and are currently selling on Amazon for $43). Looking around, there wasn't all that many reviews except a few people here and there comparing them to a pair of Audio Technica AD700's. I needed a new pair, and would want them for...

REVIEW: Renkforce/Yoga CD-340: FA-006 rebrand now a CRAZY $13! (Rise of the Rebrands pt. 1)

10 Euros from the Conrad store, and an advert for a 5 Euro voucher if I understand it correctly.   So... 5 Euro headphones that apparently aren't absolute garbage? I am really tempted to try these. Time to see what the UK shipping rate is.   EDIT: UK price is £14.99 + £5 p&p after a...

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

Isolation and the size of the cans mean very little to me, pretty much all my time listening will be spent alone so neither really matter.   If the Superlux has better sound quality and a better soundstage, that sounds like my choice. The build quality seems okay, although I have a history...

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

Tight budget request here. I'm tossing between buying a pair of Superlux HD668b with AKG K240 velour pads (total cost: £42) and a pair of Studiospares M1000 (Seemingly a rebranded FA-003/HM5. Total cost: £59). Which of these would you recommend, or are there any other UK based Head-fiers out...

Normal headphones and Professional Studio Monitor Headphones!

To the left of the graph you have lower frequencies (the bass part of the sound), as you move to the right of the graph you move towards higher frequencies. The higher the line, the more it responds to those frequencies. We see that the S4 (blue line) responds more on the bass end than the M50...

    Studiospares M1000 and the FA-003/HM5

It is well known that the HM5, FA-003, and seemingly the Jaycar Pro Monitor Headphones are all rebranded Yoga CD-880's. I was reading around, and stumbled on a pair of Studiospares M1000's that seem to be the same, but unlike the rest, are available to buy very easily within the UK at the very...

Need help choosing (fairly) cheap on ear headphones

Sound leakage isn't really a problem with them, in both directions. You will find yourself fairly isolated from the outside world. He has owned them for almost 2 years already, so I doubt you will have a problem with them unless you are particularly heavy handed. My experience with them is...

Need help choosing (fairly) cheap on ear headphones

The Skullcandies are dreadful, just don't bother with them. I recommended the Audio-Technica ATH-M50's to a friend who wanted the same kind of thing as you, and he loves them. They come very slightly overbudget at around £120. Other options might include a pair of HD558's, Roland RH300, or a...

    Most under-rated headphones...

Quote:   A couple of years ago they could be picked up for £45, at that price they were an absolute steal. I think they have stopped making them though, sadly.
