Hi! Noob question, would it make any difference to connect the ground wire from both drivers in Y-split and continue it there as a single cable to the plug? This way I could make the "Y-split to plug" section a tad thinner with three wires instead of four. Thanx!

What are you people driving your Phonaks with? Are you using smartphones or high quality DAPs, can pfe232 benefit from separate amplification?

Thanx for the reply. I just stumbled on the device at a local retailer where I just played tracks on Youtube so I haven't tried different players.

It was optional to have the dac on or off with headphones plugged in. So with low impedance iems the dac offers different sound signature options like "sharp" etc. Do you think pfe232 could benefit from an external amp with the phone?

I tested the phone with Phonak PFE232 dac on and off, didn't notice a difference on half hour test period. Are differences more inclined with higher impedance headphones? I only played tracks on YouTube though..

Is the G7 Quad DAC always in operation when headphones are plugged in no matter what app is used, USB Audio Player Pro, Youtube, web browser etc? The V10 was reported to use the ESS DAC only with stock music player.. Thanks!

I'm using the Conductor's USB input with foobar as source without any processing. Occasionally I hear a pop or a tiny click. The cable is 5 metres long, could this affect playback?  I've read the USB is buggy but I'm getting these interferences in 6-7 min intervals so it gets me concerned.
