What do the Yaxi pads do to the sound of 75s? Or are they a better fit for the bassier and clampy portapros?

Thanks to you all I today received my 75s. While they are incredible for $15, they're still good but less of a great buy at $32 (priced in Netherlands). So I was never really fond of the 598. At 5 times the price of the 439 it sounds perhaps 10% better. A bit more defined. They sound quite alike. Never really heard the "great sound stage" of the 598. As it appears, I have big flappy ears and I need to push the 598 as much forward as possible...

@ everybody owning or having owned the Hifiman RE-400 How do they compare (@ $19) to their Chinese $19 counterparts? Is it worth the hassle to get them to ship to EU (adds quite a lot of shipping costs)? Just ordered the &hz Zero.
