I tried running my ipod output through my headphone amp and it ceased. However, I have tried 3 different USB soundcards through my computer and it persists. Quite strange.- Delphiq

It seems to happen with 2 different soundcards and amp set ups. The strange thing is when I use my ipod audion input and not my PC it stops...Very strange- Delphiq

Yeah I will give this a go, as when i firmly press on the casing on the left side it seems to stop the rattling. Thanks for the tip.- Delphiq

Yes, the rattle or distortion is consistent with certain moments of certain songs. I will try and open the heaphones and see but I have tried 2 other pairs and the result was similar. Back then I was only using the e7 and it happened, now it happens with only the e9 in use too (using line...- Delphiq
