I could tell from the demos at the apple store that the 60g iPod was significantly louder than the 2nd gen nano (all versions) using the same non-powered bose headphones. Should not be an issue for line-out at the dock connector though.

Just to confirm... I was wrong about gapless working on my 4g, sorry about that. Its a firmware thing, so I'd hope they would include it in the next iPod Updater.

You know what, I'll have to confirm that myself because I was short on time and did not have any headphones close by, so I tested the gapless on iTunes 7 itself not the iPod so I could be wrong about this.

I have a 4G ipod and I updated iTunes to v.7, it did the gapless thing on my library and I updated my ipod. Listened to Dark Side of the Moon that I ripped at 320 mp3 and it played with no gap between tracks.

SIK DIN dock connector is as small as it gets, it should fit without altering the case, if it does not then no other connector will fit without a case hack.
