Shuoer impressions thread
Was having trouble finding a dissection photo for the Tape to modify so here it is. I was quite certain this thing is glued in but after using the hair dryer for half an hour, it wasn't hot enough to melt the glue. You see where this is going. A little grinding and viola the centerpiece. At...- sensible

Desktop sized speakers with similar sound signature with ESL systems
Sorry, my english isn't very good. What I ment to say was the opposite of 'Airy soundstage'. As in it sounds musical but at the same time confined, a stuffy uncomfortable kind of feeling when compared with ESL's or the AMT's. Worse as in if compared to ESL's or AMT's, in such a way it's like... -
Lear 6mm Dynamic Driver bass + Westone 4 Reshell
Had anyone tried this? I'm planning to reshell my W4 and I found this, which intrigued me with the additional bass driver. My biggest concern is the sound signature change, would it make the W4 sounds better or would it make it worse? Logically speaking the Dynamic driver would have a...- sensible

Desktop sized speakers with similar sound signature with ESL systems
Thanks Protege, it's been a very long time but since they aren't available in the region I'm living in, and their shipping + price is expensive, I could only audition them when the opportunity to travel came around. The Mini Maggie, as you have said it in you reply, it seriously lacks bass... -
new speakers for pc
If you don't mind the size, I'm currently using Edifier Studio 7 (0 bass, +6 treble) paired with Govibe Magnum (max bass, mid gain, USB) and it sounds similar to Westone 4 with more bass. If you had auditioned the W4 then this sounds incredibly similar. The price is about US$240 so it's within...- sensible

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a Desktop stereo set with the sound signature very similar to Stax (507 & 007MK1) I'm pairing them with Schiit dac (modi 2 U & wyrd). The reason it has to be a desktop set is because I have a relatively small workspace/room in my house. Here's a list of...- sensible

Looking for Computer Audio or Monitor Spk Setups that sounds similar to EQ5
Somewhere around $600-$900, if it's more than that I could save up for it. Another note to add, possibly a 2.2 channel system. Right now I'm considering two YST-215 to power my existing SB-PM91(mini hifi spk that have frequency range of 42hz-50khz (says the manual)) to create a stereo setup...- sensible

Looking for Computer Audio or Monitor Spk Setups that sounds similar to EQ5
It's a long shot but I hope you guys could recommend me something or somewhere to start from. I'm fond of the EQ5/HE500 sound signature and I'm trying to look for a 2.1 channel system that sounds similar to it. To further help, I listen mainly to Electronica (Drum & Bass, Nu Jazz...- sensible

best on-ear under $100
My sister uses the Marshall Major and it sound's quite detailed to me for the price, I'm used to listening to the EX1000, W4 & EQ5, the Marshall Major sounds similar to the EX1000 but with less emphasis on bass and is not as sibilant & bright.- sensible

Hi, I'm fairly new on this forum so if I did anything wrong, please forgive me. I'm looking to purchase the Go-Dap 4 but after reading this particular thread, I realized there are various chipsets and each seem to have it own signature (not sure if this is the way to use this term). ...- sensible
